WorkLife Solutions, a division of Family Centers, Inc., is headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut.  The WorkLife Solutions provider network includes behavioral health professionals and organizational consultants across the U.S.  Our professionals are experts in dealing with today’s workplace issues. They are able to sensitively help employees or their family members resolve personal and life challenges, which allow employees and their managers to remain focused on achieving success in and for their workplaces.

 

Bob Arnold is the President and CEO of Family Centers., WorkLife Solutions parent company and a leading nonprofit human services organization with a long history of providing behavioral health services to a broad spectrum of children, families and adults. Arnold was instrumental in the creation of WorkLife Solutions employee assistance and work/life services in the early 1980s and provides ongoing strategic direction and management oversight of the operation. He holds a Masters degree from Columbia University and is a licensed clinical social worker and marriage and family therapist. 

 

Lisa Ruggiero, MSW, Vice President, is a member of Family Centers’ executive team, oversees the day-to-day activities of WorkLife Solutions and previously served as Family Centers’ director of communications.  She was formerly a vice president of human resources at Bankers Trust (since acquired by Deutsche Bank) and the New York recruitment manager for Booz Allen Hamilton, a global strategy and technology consulting firm. Ruggiero is a member of the IABC, EAPA and SHRM. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and holds a master’s degree in social work from Washington University in St. Louis. 

 

Carole Elias, LCSW, Vice President, is a member of Family Centers’ executive team and directs and supervises the agency’s behavioral health, family support and outreach programs. A Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work (BCD), Carole joined Family Centers in 1989. She holds a Masters of Social Work degree from Columbia University, where she has also been an adjunct professor in its School of Social Work for over 12 years, and completed post-graduate training at the Ackerman Institute for Family Therapy in New York City.  

 

Leslie Sexer, LCSW, is the director of Family Centers’ clinical and outreach services. She oversees several family support, counseling band outreach programs. Before joining Family Centers, Sexer was the employee assistance program coordinator at Family Services of Westchester in Mt. Kisko, NY.  While there, she also held positions as a psychotherapist and graduate student supervisor.  A licensed clinical social worker, Sexer also served as a psychiatric social worker at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow, NY. She earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from the State University of New York and a master’s degree in social work from Hunters College.

 

Judith Basile, LCSW, CEAP, is Family Centers’ manager of behavioral health services and an organizational consultant specializing in behavioral health issues and their impact on employee productivity. She provides management training and critical incident stress management services and individual, couple, family and group counseling, as well as a variety of educational workshops for WorkLife Solutions’ employees and our clients. Basile, a licensed clinical social worker, has directed mental health as well as employee assistance programs for the past 25 years and is adjunct instructor at Fordham University’s School of Social Work.  She is a graduate of New York University School of Social Work and has completed post-graduate studies at the Minuching Family Studies Center and the Center for the Advancement of Group Studies.

 

Rose Marie Turner is a licensed clinical social worker and a senior director of clinical and prevention services at Family Centers. Mrs. Turner has worked as a marriage and family therapist for over 20 years and also consults to health care providers; school systems and community groups to establish programs that reduce teen alcohol and drug use and improve family functioning. She is an expert group facilitator of parenting education workshops, including Connecticut’s mandatory Parenting Education Program for divorcing couples. She also oversees a statewide program recently launched by the Connecticut Council of Family Service Agencies called Focus on KIDS, which provides individualized parent counseling to divorcing or divorced parents in high conflict situations. Turner holds a Masters of Social Work from Columbia University and has completed clinical internships and training at the Yale Child Study Center, as well as the Ackerman Institute for Family Therapy in New York City.

 

Donna Spellman, MS, manages the vocational resource center, which offers vocational training, career guidance and support to individuals and their families.   Spellman holds a masters degree in counseling and in addition to her expertise in career advisement and vocational guidance, she has extensive experience working with children and families in crisis, including victims of domestic violence.  Spellman provides workshops for our clients’ employees and managers on a variety of work-life topics.

 

Bill Brucker is the communications director and media specialist. He develops WorkLife Solutions’ media campaigns and writes for several local publications on family, work and life issues. Before joining Family Centers, Brucker served as media relations manager at the Hospital of Saint Raphael in New Haven.  He was also a reporter for several newspapers throughout Connecticut and New Jersey. Brucker earned a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Quinnipiac University, and is a board member for Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) Southern Connecticut Chapter.

 

Vanessa Rumer and Cheryl Norfleet are our call center specialists and administrative assistants. They assist employees and managers who are seeking WorkLife Solutions’ employee assistance and work-life services.
